Hugo S. Simões comes from a small island along the Mid- Atlantic Ridge. He currently lives in Lisbon, Portugal. His poetry and prose have previously appeared in Southwest Review, The Chicago Quarterly Review, Innisfree Poetry Journal, and MORIA, among others.
